This term, we are exploring our exciting “All About Me” topic, where the children will have lots of opportunities to learn more about themselves, their families, their friends and what makes each of us special and unique.
This week, we have been focusing on “What do I look like?” The children talked about their different features, including their hair, eyes and skin. They then used their creativity to draw pictures of themselves.
Throughout the term, we will also be talking about our families, the people and pets who are important to us, and sharing our favourite things, such as books, songs, foods, toys and activities.
We will explore friendships and feelings, talking about what makes a good friend and how we can be kind, caring and helpful towards others. The children will also have opportunities to talk about different emotions and what makes us feel happy, sad, angry, excited or worried.
We will also be developing our sense of belonging by recognising our names, finding our names on our pegs and taking part in self-registration each day.
We are looking forward to finding out more about each child and celebrating all the wonderful things that make us unique and special.
