Throughout the summer term a group of Year 5 students have been taking part in the Brilliant Club. Over seven weeks they participated in tutorials with their PhD tutor Kristian Suszczenia and were studying Geography: Climate Change: what is it and why does it matter? By the end of the seven weeks the children had to produce a one-thousand-word essay based on this topic. Although they found it difficult they persevered and completed their essays to a very high standard. The children’s essay was marked using a university marking system. The hard work the children put in resulted in 3 children achieving a 1st; 8 children achieving a 2.1; 2 children achieving a2.2 and 1 child achieving a 3rd.

To celebrate this achievement the children attended a graduation ceremony at Kings College London on Wednesday 15th July. The children are extremely proud of themselves and thoroughly enjoyed celebrating their achievements.

We are all proud of them. Congratulations Year 5!
