Year 4 have been celebrating the 100th birthday of David Attenborough by learning more about his life and achievements.
The children enjoyed discovering interesting facts about Sir David and finding out why he is famous around the world. They learned about his work as a broadcaster and natural historian, as well as his passion for teaching people about animals and the environment.
As part of their learning, the children created fact files filled with information about Sir David’s life, career and achievements. Some children chose to design a birthday cake they thought Sir David would love!
Year 4 showed great enthusiasm during the activity and enjoyed learning about someone who has inspired so many people to care for the natural world.
Happy 100th Birthday, Sir David! Thank you for inspiring us to explore, learn and protect the natural world.
