This week, we have been reading Sharing a Shell and learning about different sea creatures. Through the story, we explored the importance of sharing and how being kind to others helps us build friendships.
We have also been focusing on strengthening our fine motor skills to support early writing. The children enjoyed washing baby clothes and pegging them out to dry, as well as using the large chalkboard for mark-making. They especially loved spraying the board with water to clean it, which is a fun way to build hand strength.
In addition, we have been writing letters to our friends. The children helped to create a post box and enjoyed posting their letters. They independently found their friends name cards and used them to write names on the envelopes.
