We have been busy this week producing our magical, adventure stories. We are editing and collating them next week, ready for our book launch on Thursday; so please come along and join us when we will sharing them with you.
In RE this week we were learning about the Jewish festival of light: Hanukkah. It lasts for 8 days and they light a candle everyday to remember when they thought the oil would only last for 1 day, but by a miracle it lasted for 8 days until new oil could be made. We role played the battle between the Maccabees and the Syrians and how they desecrated the temple.
In geography we have been talking about volcanoes and earthquakes. We discussed the positives and negatives of living near a volcano; as well at what causes them. Most of us decided that we wouldn’t want to live near a volcano. We also talked about the earthquake that happened in Lincolnshire this week!
In maths we were working on our 2, 5 and 10 multiplications.
