Today, we had a hands-on maths lesson all about adding by making 10. Children used tens frames and counters to explore different number combinations and deepen their understanding of addition.
Through using manipulatives, the children were able to visualise how numbers combine to make 10 and apply this strategy to solve addition problems with confidence. It was fantastic to see everyone engaged, discussing their ideas, and using practical resources to strengthen their number sense!
