Our Team of children from year 3,4,5 and 6 competed in the first borough wide school sports competition, at this years Cross Country event.
Children from Year 3 & 4 had to complete a distance of 1 mile whilst children from year 5 & 6 had to go that little bit further faced with the task of completing 1.3 miles.
All of our children that attended the competition did themselves and the school proud, with their outstanding behavior and attitudes throughout the day.
The children were rewarded by their hard work by achieving personal bests for finishing times and positions.
With one of our strongest runners and athletes in the school finishing 3rd in the borough for fastest year 6 girl over the 1.3m distance, an incredible effort, achievement and medal to go with it for a consecutive year.
We also had a team Gold with the Year 5 boys team, accumulating the fastest time as a group over 1.3 miles.
A highly impressive 2nd placed Silver medal for the Year 3 Girls team, making their first ever appearances at a cross country event.
We are proud of all of our children and runners that represented the school with such high standards of behavior and attitudes towards the competition and ambition to achieve their best.
Well done team.
