This week, we explored Black History Month and learned why it is such an important time to celebrate and remember the achievements of Black people throughout history.
We focused on Mae Jemison, the first African American woman to travel into space. We discovered how her hard work, determination, and passion for science helped break barriers and inspire others to follow their dreams.
We then created a timeline showing key moments from Mae Jemison’s life and career, helping us to see how her journey led to such an amazing achievement!
