This week in Year 1, we began our new reading adventure with ‘Aaargh Spider’ by Lydia Monks. We enthusiastically participated in spider hunts around the school, discovering webs in various intriguing locations while observing the different types of spiders. Our writing lessons involved reflecting on the appearance and character traits of the friendly spider in our tale. Additionally, we utilised the iPads to create illustrations and compose descriptive sentences about the spider. We look forward to further exploring this delightful narrative in the coming weeks, fostering our creativity and love for reading.
