This week in our class, we have been diving into the wonderful world of minibeasts! Inspired by the delightful book Mad About Minibeasts by Giles Andreae and David Wojtowycz, we have been exploring all kinds of tiny creatures that crawl, fly, wriggle, and buzz.

Bug Hunt Adventure
We grabbed our magnifying glasses and went on an exciting bug hunt around the garden. We discovered ladybirds, flies,  spiders, and even an earwig The children were fantastic detectives, spotting minibeasts.

Beautiful Butterflies
Our creativity soared as we made our very own butterflies. We used bright colours, symmetrical patterns, and lots of imagination to bring them to life.

Playdough Bug Creations
Using playdough, we designed and made our own bugs. From long wiggly worms to multi-legged millipedes, each bug was unique. It was a fun, hands on way to explore what makes each minibeast special.

We have had a brilliant time learning about these amazing little creatures. The children have been so enthusiastic and curious, true nature explorers!
