Throughout the spring term a group of Year 5 students have been taking part in the Brilliant Club. Over seven weeks they participated in tutorials with their PhD tutor Fareeha Akhtar and were studying English: Nature, Humanity and Literature. By the end of the seven weeks the children had to produce a one-thousand-word essay based on this topic. Although they found it difficult they persevered and completed their essays to a very high standard. The children’s essay was marked using a university marking system. The hard work the children put in resulted in them achieving 2:2 and 2:1 grades.
To celebrate this achievement the children attended a graduation ceremony at Kings College London on Monday 19th June. The children are extremely proud of themselves and thoroughly enjoyed celebrating their achievements.
