On Friday, we came together to celebrate VE Day in true 1940s style! Pupils and staff dressed in red, white, and blue to mark the occasion and show their patriotic spirit. We began by baking a eggless sponge cake, following a wartime recipe. At lunchtime, everyone enjoyed a wonderful garden party, complete with decorations, music, and treats reminiscent of the era. We ended the day with a special assembly, where we sang classic songs from the 1940s and reflected on the importance of this historic day. It was a memorable celebration full of joy, learning, and community spirit.
