Hello year five,
We have made it to the final week of learning of this academic year, and what an interesting year it has been. I don’t think any of us could have predicted what was in store when we began in September 2019, but we have managed to make it through, and continue our learning at home. This week you had the chance to meet your six teacher, who have shared how impressed they were by your enthusiasm and politeness on the call. This has made each of your teachers very proud. Well done.
To support your transition to year six, as part of English you will be completing different activities to share a little bit about yourself with your year six teacher. Once we have received this work, we will be sending it on to your year six teacher. From speaking to your six teachers, they are eager to receive this work, as it will give them an insight into your life and who you are.
In maths, we are continuing with the transition curriculum, recapping on the topics we have covered in year five. We have been really impressed with the level of work we have seen so far, and we hope you are enjoying the math challenges at home.
Again, we would like to remind you to send the work highlighted in red to your class teacher firstname.lastname@example.org or upload it onto the school blog. Along with this we would like to encourage you to attend the final celebratory zoom with your class teacher. Please check parent mail for the details of the call. This will give us all a chance to say farewell to the each other and bring the year to a close.
