The Year 5s are back in Ockenden this week for our now annual adventure trip to Stubbers.

It was straight into the action on arrival and while half the group attempted some adrenaline fuelled high ropes (and some lower ropes for those safety seekers!), the other half channelled their inner Robin Hood during combat archery – an activity that is exactly as chaotic as it sounds. After a few warm up shots fired at the stationary targets, the kids began seeking out each other with their (rubber tipped) arrows – (all geared up in the required safety equipment!). The groups then switched around to ensure everyone got their fair share of the experiences whilst hopefully working up a healthy appetite!

It is Burgers for dinner tonight in what will be a real treat of a Monday, followed by nature night walk before heading for a luxurious nights sleep after our recent upgrade from the ‘tents’ to inside the main building.

We will then be up bright and early for a day packed full of fun, with raft building, caving, orienteering and rifle shooting on the agenda – make sure you enjoy your peace and quiet for the next couple of nights parents!
