Year 6 have been working very hard on their Trench Brothers project. To celebrate this, the year 6 team will be hosting one of the puppeteers from the show War Horse. The event will take place on the 23rd November 2015 in the Key Stage 2 Assembly Hall.

War Horse is based on the celebrated novel by the Children’s Laureate (2003-05) Michael Morpurgo, the actors, working with magnificent, life-sized puppets by the internationally renowned Handspring Puppet Company, lead us on a gripping journey through history.

Our guest James has performed in three different companies, and across four different countries during his years with the production. James will also be showing the children some of the “paper people” that the company uses for training in the philosophies that they use in their puppetry (mainly focus, tension/weight and breath). As we have created our own puppets for our December productions, the Year 6 team felt this would be of great use to help the children with their production.
