WW2 – Re-enactment

What a fantastic last day together!

After an incredibly long and busy term of learning, the children were able to come to school in the role of evacuee’s from the 1940s. The children have worked so incredibly hard this term, and have demonstrated to all their teachers just how much they  have connected with WW2 as a topic for learning.

Thanks to you all for helping provide the children with outfits to wear and for all your support so far this year with the children’s home learning and research on this fascinating, yet difficult topic. The maturity they have displayed has been a real credit to them all and to our school.

Enjoy the picture gallery – as you can see the children really embraced and enjoyed being war-time children (the teachers might have enjoyed dressing up just a little bit too).

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you all – we will see you back in school in January.
