Nursery have been reading ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ which they have really been enjoying. We spoke about how the different scenes are described in the story and made marks describing the different scenes, e.g. for swishy swashy grass, we moved our pens up and down, and for swirly whirly snow storm, we moved our pens in a circular motion on the paper. Children really enjoyed this joint activity with their peers and it was good gross\fine motor practise where children got to exercise and strengthen their arm/hand muscles.
