Ancient Mayan (Mexican) writing did not use letters to spell words like we have today but rather used a series of signs and symbols to represent what they wanted to say.
Children in year 3 have been learning about the Mayans in art. They were given a key of symbols to use and have created their own stories. Check out the photos below.
