Year 4 have started to learn about the Romans. Firstly we looked at who they were, where they came from and why they wanted to invade Britain. Our timeline showed that there had been unsuccessful attempts to conquer Britain before AD43. We then started to focus on what an empire is and what the Roman Empire looked like. It was amazing to see how vast the empire was. We also learnt how Rome got its name, we really enjoyed the story of Romulus and Remus.
