This week has been a very busy week for all the Reception Year children. They have been reading the book,’ Kipper’s Birthday’ by Mick Inkpen. They have been creatively designing their own shopping lists, birthday cards, invites and even designed their own birthday cakes. When asked to comment about their favourite cakes and flavours, most replied that they loved strawberry and chocolate cakes! Children also used the interactive board to design their cakes.
Reception children have also been learning about 2d shapes and their properties. They sorted, explored shapes in their classrooms and their learning environment. Children also used shapes to design their favourite toys and objects. They also had loads of fun outdoors and had a great time playing with their friends, role playing,  used the climbing frame, balancing and moving in different ways.
Oh, this has been a lovely but also a very busy week indeed!
