There have been so many amazing lessons and activities the children have taken part in since we started in September. Some fantastic role-play activities, art and music lessons, and even some Maths and English pictures of our work.

The children have enjoyed their first half term back at school and the staff have loved making their time enjoyable. Here are some pictures of what activities the children have completed this week.

Some children have pretended to be at a tea party for the book ‘Meg on the Moon’. The ‘tea party’ scene was at the end of the book, with the characters celebrating a birthday. The children were really involved; pouring tea into the teapot and cup to drink, blowing out the candles on the birthday cake.

In another class, the children were building sentences from the same book. They had to rearrange the sentence ‘They had tea on the grass‘ to match what they read on one of the pages. The children worked really well to complete this task.

Other children had to find a range of different objects within a kitchen environment that would be needed for a cooking activity. They had to move around the kitchen and look for key things such as a; kettle, oven, fridge, tea towels and toaster. The children did so well to find every object successfully by pointing them out independently.

Finally, in Maths, some of the children had to try and use tallying to find how many times they could roll the numbers 1 to 6 on a dice. They tried really hard to tally correctly, and eventually, after some practise, the children were able to tally independently. This was fantastic for the adults working alongside the children to see that progress across the week.

The ARP staff hope you all have a fabulous half term and look forward to seeing you all again soon.
