This week we wanted to really show off the children reading and participating in phonics activities.

The children have all made such amazing progression in their reading this year, and the staff have dedicated themselves to helping the children read letters and sounds, as well as reading short sentences.

The children have also really enjoyed their phonics more this year, as we have moved onto using a learning curriculum called ‘Little Wandles’. It provides children with a range of different ways to learn their sounds. It also includes linking letters to familiar pictures the children would recognise, for example; the letter ‘d’ linking with a pictures of a duck.
