This year Monteagle have started a new maths scheme called ‘Power Maths’. Year 5 have been using place value charts and counters to help them with their current ‘Place Value’ topic. The photos show the children during the ‘Discover’ part of the lesson where they are encouraged to learn co-operatively, bring maths to life using real-life context and identify problems by finding patterns and relationships.
