Over the last 2 weeks we have been looking at patterns both indoors and outdoors and have also been creating our own repeating patterns. The children have been enjoying exploring different patterns in our environment and they were very busy doing crayon rubbing on a selection of items like tree trunks, leaves, wooden benches etc . We also noticed the patterns on the soles of shoes and boots and we have also spent time creating our own repeating patterns using maths and numicon resources, college items. Some children made repeating patterns using the fruit and vegetables at the snack table.
