Throughout the week, we have been focusing on Newspaper articles and the main features related to them. We started to focus more on particular aspects that are key to the main body of the text, in this instance: interviews and direct speech.
We began by writing some questions down that we could ask a character from the book ‘Cosmic’. In pairs, the children came up with some interesting questions they would like to ask their chosen character if they had the chance to interview them.
We then interviewed one another in the role of the interviewee, and wrote their answers down in our books.
Finally, some of us had the chance to present our interview to the rest of class. Here are some pictures of our planning stage, and the web-links show some of our final interviews in a role play.
