The EYFS classes at the ARP have been really busy and had some tricky activities to complete recently. Ranging from matching pictures to collaging pictures independently.

As an ARP, we try to make all activities accessible for the children to access, but also for them to access with no or little adult help and guidance. Sometimes new activities will be adult led or adult supported as this will help the children become familiar with that unfamiliar activity. This is to help them understand completing an activity on their own and to progress in their own personal development at such a young age.

Some of the children have been collaging pictures of picnic baskets, colouring in pictures of the fox and Gingerbread Man from our new story we are reading, ‘The Gingerbread Man’.

Other times of the day, the children were completing matching activities in their Maths lessons, using pictures and shapes to do so. again, some of these tasks adult supported but we encourage them to complete as independently as possible.
