Evans Moore Plate

On July 23rd 2018, the Monteagle football team took part in the Evans Moore Plate tournament.

A highly competitive tournament between 12 schools from across Barking & Dagenham, separated into two groups of 12. Each team aiming to get to the final and leave as champions.

Our team finished 1st in the group after winning four out of five group games, drawing one and not losing a game during the group stages.

Once the team qualified in stylish fashion, they managed to win the Quarter finals, Semi-finals and eventually arrived in the finals.

The team were outstanding in the Final, applying the skills that they have been learning and developing throughout this year into the game. The team were deserved winners after the final whistle had blown. We should all be proud of their performances and how they conducted themselves on and off the field throughout the day.
