Welcome back to all parents and carers, I hope you had an enjoyable Summer break.

After another year in which our children worked hard and exemplified our core virtues of curiosity, creativity and perseverance, I am very pleased to share with you the fruits of their labour:

  • In the EYFS, in Reception, 78% of children achieved results at and above the Expected Standard, which is 7% above the average percentage of children in schools nationally.
  • At KS1, in Year 2, 73% of children achieved results at and above the Expected Standard, which is 8% above the average percentage of children in schools nationally.
  • At KS2, in Year 6, 89% of children achieved results at and above the Expected Standard, which is 25% above the average percentage of children in schools nationally.

These are fantastic results.

Looking at the detail of these results (which you can find by clicking here) you will note that our highest attaining children have done particularly well. In Year 6, 20% of children were catagorised as working at ‘Greater Depth’ within the expected standard. This is twice the national average!

So thank you, all of you, for working so diligently with your children, for supporting your child’s teacher in guiding them and for supporting the school.

I leave you with a reminder of how good we are not just at working together, but also playing together – a look back at the wonderful summer fair we all enjoyed on the last day of the last academic year.

Here’s to another fun packed and successful year.
