This week in Year 2, we have been celebrating Autism Acceptance Week and it proved to be an enlightening journey, offering us a deeper understanding of autism and diverse learning styles. Our Tuesday visitor from Sycamore Trust provided invaluable insights into the extensive support networks available to families within our community, highlighting the importance of unity and empathy.

Through creative activities, such as decorating jigsaw pieces to signify our unique differences and crafting our own autism ribbons, we not only celebrated diversity but also fostered a sense of belonging.

As the week drew to a close, Dare to be Different Day served as a powerful reminder to embrace our individuality proudly. Overall, the week’s events left a lasting impact, promoting empathy, acceptance, and inclusivity among our classmates.
