Maths can be applied in so many meaningful play activities. This week the Nursery children have been finding play biscuits in the sand and counting out the correct number onto the correct numeral plate. Then they matched the numeral card to their plate of play biscuits and then placed their play biscuits into the oven to cook. They had to count the correct number of claps to know how long to cook their play biscuits for and once they were done they shared their ‘cooked play biscuits’ with their friends.
