In Science, Year 3 are learning about light and dark. One of the topics we focused on was sun safety. We looked at the benefits and dangers of the sun. One type of light that the sun emits (gives out) is called UV light. UV light is invisible to humans, but we can see and feel its effects. We set up an investigation to see the effects of UV light and how it can change the colour of some materials. We then discussed ways we can protect ourselves from the UV light and designed our own sunglasses.
