Over this term, year 5 have been working with Mr. Kais in the new art studio. They recently visited the Tate Modern and this helped them develop their ideas to create a large piece that included their work on mixed media and collage. Taking inspiration from Andy Warhol and Picasso the children are working on creating a large work while trying to answer the question, what does it mean to be rich or poor? This idea came from their previous work on the Victorians. Some children chose to abstract their ideas and used their creativity to make some wonderful art. They worked very hard in selecting various materials such as fabric, buttons, and used different painting techniques. Check out the photos below!
