For our Geography topic, we have been learning all about rivers. We first looked at the seven continents and learnt a fun song about them. It is a very catchy tune that has stuck in our heads, but at least we will never forget the continents and the size order too! We then focused in on the United Kingdom and looked at the different areas that each country is split up in to. From there we used atlases to locate the UK and cross reference the areas in which some of the major rivers run through. The children enjoyed this exercise and it was great to see the learning partners supporting each other. Can you name all the seven continents? How about in size order?! And lastly, do you know any of the major rivers that run through the United Kingdom?
