In Y6, to support our WW2 topic, we created paintings inspired by the Blitz – a period of heavy air raids and devastating destruction in 1940. The children first created a silhouette of London’s skyline, and then created a skyline that depicts the raging fires that engulfed London at that time. For the bomber planes, we researched the German Luftwaffe and the design of the planes at the time. We are very proud of the results and here are a few of our creations.
