This week Nursery have been speaking about their favourite books. We have spent the week reading stories and developing our comprehension skills. It is lovely to see our very young children show love and joy for reading. Children are becoming very confident when selecting a book and giving reasons as to why they want to read a certain type of book. They are also showing preferences for characters and are giving reasons as to why they like/dislike them. This year we have also given bug club logins to each child and we are seeing a substantial difference in the progress of each child’s reading ability. Please continue to develop the love of reading in your child and spending just 10 minutes a day reading to your child can open doors of new knowledge to enlighten their minds!
