In preparation for World Book Day, the Nursery children have been reading the stories the Tin Forest and Walking in the Jungle. We compared the difference between the tin forest pictures and the pictures from Walking in the jungle looking at the colours, brightness and what animals and plants and trees we could see. We then went Walking in a tin forest and listened to the sounds we could hear and wrote the sounds we heard onto colour strips of paper and decorated a tree from the Tin Forest. We then looked at and listened to sounds from a bright and colourful Jungle and wrote what we saw and heard onto colourful leaves and decorated a tree from the story Walking through the Jungle. We also walked in the green leaves from the Jungle to listen to the sounds we could hear.
