This week we have been preparing for world book day with a whole week celebrating amazing books.

In our English lessons we explored the book ‘Fantastically great women who changed the world’ and found out about Amelia Earhart. The children were fascinated by her incredible story and enjoyed exploring what it would feel like to fly solo across the Atlantic and face the challenges she had. Below are some videos of us imagining we are Amelia Earhart.

Throughout the week we have also enjoyed taking part in live streamed sessions with different authors. One of our favourite sessions was with the author Nick Sharratt where we explore his Silly museums book. He then taught us how to draw different characters you might find in silly museums. We had great fun drawing camels, frogs and even queens with quiffs!
