On Thursday, November 30th, students in Year 6 participated in an engaging ‘Poppies and Poetry’ workshop. The workshop involved the children re-enacting the experiences of being in the trenches during World War I, while also gaining valuable insights into this historical period. Collaboratively, they devised actions to enhance their performance of the poem ‘Who’s for the game?’ by Jessie Pope. The children really enjoyed the workshop, especially when applying their acting skills to bring the poem to life.
