It’s been wonderful to have all children and staff back in school this week. We were lucky to be able to carry on our lessons over Zoom, but there’s nothing like being together at Monteagle. We’ve been getting back into the swing of things over the last couple of days and are delighted to welcome Ms Javed into year 6. She will be helping us by taking her own groups for Maths and English. Our learning has included illusion hand drawing in English based on Escher’s Illusion which is linked to the book we are studying – ‘The London Eye Mystery’. In History we have become historians and delved into 1920’s Dagenham. The children were shocked to find out that toilets used to be outside! We are now looking forward to the following weeks and summer term as we have lots of exciting things planned!
