Dear Parents,

A huge welcome back to parents old and new!

We’ve been off to a flying start at Monteagle and already I can see how settled the children are across the school. It was lovely being able to welcome our Reception children into school last week and we are looking forward to doing the same with the  Nursery this week.

The last couple of weeks have been fantastic. We have started having live assemblies again and I cannot tell you what a great feeling that is after such a long time! Of course we still have cases of Covid cropping up in school but this should not affect the children’s attendance at all. However, if you notice that  your child’s teacher isn’t here then the likelihood  is that they are isolating. Please continue to monitor your children for symptoms too.

Many of you have now noticed that I am expecting and I have been overwhelmed by your kindness and well wishes. Thank you. This does mean that you won’t be seeing me at the gates in the mornings or after school but I promise I am around! I am here until early November and I will keep you all fully updated on the plans for my maternity leave and return to school.

As always, we are here to support you and your family in anyway we can. If you need anything please contact the school office to arrange a meeting. If you need any personal support, please get in touch with Nicky Jose our Parent Support Advisor.

The ARP Needs You

The ARP are on the hunt for various household items to help support their curriculum. If you have any of the following things at home or spot anything whilst you are out and about please bring them into school. The ARP can make use of them!

Healthy Lunches

As you all know, we are committed to being healthy and maintaining our healthy school status .All of our cooked dinners are balanced out each day to measure the intake of calories and particularly sugars given to children at meal times. The same is  applied to what children have in their packed lunches. The lunch cannot contain, chocolate, sweets, crisps  and any drink other than water. Staff do regularly check lunches and will remove and replace any thing  on this list.
