This week Reception children have been reading a popular book with a happy ending, ‘The Blue Penguin’, written by Petr Horacek. All the children enjoyed the story and learnt about the emotions of the blue penguin. They learnt that how the blue penguin felt lonely and sad as he had no friends, but after meeting a true friend he was happy and was no longer sad or lonely. During one of the follow-up activities, children discussed about friendship, and had group discussion about how to be a good friend. They also learnt to draw the blue penguin.
All the children had fun and enjoyed being creative!

Every Friday, reception children will be bringing home, practice worksheets to practice letters formation of phonemes that they have learnt throughout the week. These worksheets will stay at home so that they can practice letters formation and revisit them whenever they like.
