This week, year 6 is hosting Studio 3 to conduct drama workshops with a specific emphasis on the play “The Merchant of Venice” which the children will be going to watch next month at the Broadway Theatre. The workshops this week are being led by a leading practitioner in the Dramatic Arts.
The children worked on various drama exercises to get prepared for a role before sitting down and having a discussion about the play and the many themes that Shakespeare displayed throughout his writing.
It was a great experience to see the children working outside and helping them prepare for their own upcoming shows next month. Check out the photographs below.
