Year 2 have been learning a new Jazz song called ‘Sparkle In The Sun’. They began by learning about the history of Jazz music and how it was first created by African American musicians over 100 years ago in the southern states of the USA, and it is still popular today.
In this song, the singer tells a story about going out for a walk to meet a friend, but instead, they meet a sparkling unicorn!
Before learning the song we warmed up our voices. Then once we had learnt the song we learnt an instrumental section on our glockenspiels using notes G, A and B. We hope you enjoy watching how we got on below!
