We’re delighted to share the brilliant results of a recent writing sharing activity between the Y3 and Y6 children. Last term, the Y6 children wrote a biography about a person of their choice. This activity was beneficial for the children in many ways, as it encouraged them to read and write, and to think critically.

One of the main aims of this activity was to teach the children the importance of sharing and publishing their writing. Through this activity, they were able to experience the process of editing and refining their work, which is a valuable part of the writing process.

The Y3 children acted as a supportive audience for the Y6 children, reading their biographies and asking questions. This was a great help to the Y6 children, as it allowed them to think more deeply about their work, and to make improvements to it. The Y3 children’s enthusiasm and willingness to get involved was greatly appreciated by our Y6 children, and we thank them for their wonderful support.

Overall, this writing sharing activity was an excellent way for our Y3 and Y6 children to collaborate, learn from each other and improve their writing. We look forward to sharing more of our writing in the future!
