We had a wonderful first day of music in Year 6 learning a rhythmic cup dance. We had to make use of a number of musical skills and concepts including: pulse, rhythm, ostinato and eye-hand-ear coordination.

We explored the way in which pulse and rhythmic patterns work together – and used rhythmic language to identify the ostinato pattern in our dance.
