On Thursday 30th November children in Year 2 took part in a Poetry and Poppies workshop. During the workshop the children acted out what it would have been like to be in the trenches during World War I and learnt some key information about this period in history. They went on to work together to create actions to help them perform the poem ‘Who’s for the game?’ by Jessie Pope. The children thoroughly enjoyed the workshop, particularly using their acting skills to perform the poem.
