This week, the children have been participating in some engaging and sensory based activities within their lessons. They have been very hands on with a range of resources, such as; drums for music, tin foil and cotton wool for moon collages. It has all been super fun to be a part of!

Some of the children created and designed a collage of the moon from the story ‘Meg on the Moon’. They used foil to make it shiny, and cotton wool to make their moon look bumpy.

Other children enjoyed participating in their music sessions. They were able to play the drum to match the beat of the music. It was really nice to see the children engaging and having fun, using good listening and sharing the resources together.

One of the classes had a fantastic aspirations lesson where they thought of what they wanted to be when they were older. For this lesson, they dressed up as a particular job role that they might want to be in the future, for example; fireman, milkman, policeman or a chef. They loved dressing up and posing for their pictures.

Finally, some children had some incredible fun (yet very messy) attempting to create an earth model for their English lessons. They used a blown up balloon and covered it in paper mache. Before this, one of the adults mixed in some blue paint with the paper mache to create the effect of the ocean around the earth. The children absolutely loved the activity! They had to wear aprons and roll up their sleeves to ensure their clothes were kept painted glue free!
