During Literacy this week, Year 3 we have been focusing on a pebble’s journey through millions of years. The children have thoroughly enjoyed reading the catastrophe’s this pebble has been through across its long and tiring journey.

To show where it all began, the children drew volcano’s exploding using black sugar paper and pastels. They worked really hard to capture the best image of a volcano erupting by using creative colours for extra effect.

Later on in the week, the children created a freeze frame of a particular situation the pebble found itself in. They created these freeze frames very well, thinking about their surroundings and shapes of their bodies.

Here are some examples of our work this week.
