Dear Parents,

I can’t quite believe that we’re only a week away from half term. It’s really flown by. We have been so impressed with how our Reception and Nursery children have settled into school and our now flourishing. The school looks wonderful at the moment and the children are all alert, keen and eager to learn. We have been able to start going out on trips again and all year groups have some wonderful visits planned for this year.  Next week, we are looking forward to welcoming in our Year 5 parents for our first Harvest Festival assembly!

I’ve been particularly impressed with the quality of the work being produced across the school in every year group. There is a real sense of determination from the staff and children to get back to normal and as the Headteacher, this makes me incredibly proud.

Thank you to all parents who joined us for parent consultation day. I know the teachers found it useful and insightful meeting you all and we had our best attendance to date. Please remember, if you missed your appointment or couldn’t make it for any reason, we are more than happy to talk to you at any time. Please just call the office and make an appointment.

From today, under advice from the Local Authority, I have been advised to work from home until the start of my maternity leave on 8th November. It has been so difficult not be able to get out and about around the school or be on the gates to greet you all each day but please be assured I have and will continue to be present albeit virtually.

Next week, I will write to you to outline the plans for my maternity leave fully. If you have any questions about this, please email the office.
