Over the Spring Term, the Nursery focused on the topic People who Help Us. We had various visitors from our community talking to us about how they help us, including a nurse, police officers and a vet. During the term we also had a mobile farm at our Nursery and the children spent time observing, touching and feeding a selection of farm animals, under the supervision of the Nursery teachers and trained farm staff. The children were also very excited to observe and look after chicks that we had at our Nursery. It was such a delight to listen to their comments and it was a very meaningful opportunity for the children to experience. The Phonics and Reading workshop we held was very successful and all the parents and children happily took part in the selection of literacy based activities set up around the Nursery. We ended the term by having an Easter fun event at school, where parents and children enjoyed taking part in Easter activities which took the place of the outing to Mayesbrook Park which had to be cancelled due to heavy rainfall.
